New Bowie Bulldog 

At the beginning of the school year a University gave Bowie a cease and desist order for plagiarizing their bulldog logo. Bowie is deciding on if they are going to let us, the students vote on a new one and how they are going to go about creating a new one. 

Who? Bowie and Gonzaga University

What? Bowie Bulldog logo cease and desist order.

When? Beginning of the year. 

Why? Gonzaga University's Bulldog logo is the same as the Bowie Bulldog.

How? The University doesn't want anyone with this logo except for them so they are making everyone either get rid of it or pay a lot of money.

Who was quoted in the story? Football Coach and member of the mascot and logo team, Sam Miller.

What quote was the strongest in your opinion and where did that quote appear in the story? "People have an emotional connection to the bulldog that we've been using so there's a sense of nostalgia and so anything other than that image doesn't seem like a fit." School improvement facilitator Ruth Ann Widner said.
