Africa and Abandoned Theme Parks

A few of the things I saw was how he was patient in taking these, he didn't just go and try to snap a photo, it took him tim. The results were worth it, beautiful iconic photos of the animals in their natural being.

This photo is one of my favorites because it shows the subject perfectly. It has simplicity, balance,  and also a lot of detail. The reflection adds so much to the picture.
Nick Brandnt doesn't use a telephoto lens, because it has zoom and he doesn't use zoom.
He says his reasoning for taking these photos is how he "finds himself indescribably moved every time I go to these places and see these animals in these settings." His hopes by taking these photos is for people to see the animals before they go extinct and that people can understand how important it is to save them.  A quote Nick Brandt used about Africa is "This coming year is going to be the most bleak of all with the terrible drought that East Africa is currently experiencing, and the explosion in poaching as a result of the renewed Chinese demand for ivory.''

The Miracle Strip Amusement ParkImage result for Miracle Strip Amusement Park (Florida)

I would want to go to the Miracle Strip Amusement Park because there are a lot of different colors and rides to take pictures of. It has a creepy vibe to it which I feel like is the key to any abandoned theme parks. All the different shapes and designs could have a lot of different photo opportunities.

  • Częstochowa, Poland’s abandoned train depot

I think it would be fun to document this place because it has so many vibrate colors and so many different places you can take pictures at. It is also abandoned so you could walk around inside the trains and station and who knowns how many different things you could find and shoot.

Things I would have to do in order to go and take the photos here is first of all get a ticket to Poland, find local people who know about the place to take me, and also find out any of the laws around abandoned places in Poland. I also wouldn't go alone, traveling to somewhere very different alone isn't very smart. As for camera equipment, I would need a few different lenses because I wouldn't want to only take some wide shot photos or close up I would want a mix of all.
